TYPES OF INSULATION - OUR INSULATION PRODUCTS

Polyurethane spray foam is perfect for optimal insulation in new or renovated buildings. With a very high R-Value, this product is an excellent air barrier. Polyurethane spray foam also conforms to the highest National Research Council of Canada (NRC) requirements as a vapor barrier. Predominantly, this foam is recognized for its ability to seep into all openings in floors and walls. Polyurethane spray foam occupies a smaller volume while providing superior performance, in comparison to other products.

AIRMÉTIC SOYA: A MATERIAL OF SUPERIOR QUALITY

Airmétic Soya

The result of novel research, this product is made from recycled materials like plastic bottles, reclaimed natural oils and water. It offers a better insulating performance than conventional and equivalent materials on the market. Manufactured by Quebec-based Demilec, Airmétic SOYA is part of Isolation Isomax products, thanks to its properties that minimize the movement of air and water vapor, as well as energy consumption. A single application of Airmétic SOYA gives you the same protection as insulation, an air barrier and a vapor barrier at the same time. If you would like to learn more about this product and its properties or application methods, reach out to us - we will be happy to help you.

Cellulose

Known as blow-in wool, cellulose is the ideal thermal and acoustic insulation solution. Greatly reducing the risk of air infiltration, cellulose is fire resistant and contains no ammonium sulfate, which makes it a material that is safe for health. It also offers optimal protection against condensation, frost and moisture, at very competitive rates.

IGLOO CELLULOSE INSULATION: A WISE CHOICE

Igloo Cellulose

Several reasons make it a wise choice to opt for Igloo's cellulose insulation. For starters, it is eco-friendly and poses no risk to health. Igloo cellulose insulation is treated to minimize dust generation at the time of application. It has uniform density and a simple application, while being fast and economical, clean and dust-free, and significantly improving energy performance, waterproofing and soundproofing.

R-Value

R-Value is the unit of measurement for the thermal resistance of insulation materials. The higher the R-Value, the more energy efficient the material, which translates into greater energy savings for both heating and cooling.

Here are some of our insulation materials’ R-Values:
Polyurethane spray: R = 6 / in.
Cellulose: R = 3.7 / in.

The 1995 Building Code specifies the minimum R-value, depending on the region. To learn more about the R-value of various insulation materials, visit the CMHC website.
